Great Benefits Package
As a foster carer you’ll give a vulnerable child a caring, safe and stable home as long as they need it. We also acknowledge that you in turn may need some personal time too. That’s why we give all our foster carers 14 days paid and supported leave every year.
We understand that foster carers will need to make day to day journeys for the welfare of your child. The weekly allowance includes up to 40 miles per week for journeys specific to your child. Foster carers may also be able to claim an additional 40 pence per mile for transport requirements that exceeds this amount.
Sadly not all children come into care fully equipped with clothing. Foster carers can claim an extra allowance of up to £200 for clothing and up to £500 for equipment costs when the child is first admitted into care. Foster carers may also be able to claim up to £70 for school uniform costs.
