Foster Care Fortnight 2020 11-24 May
Every Year, The Fostering Network run the Foster Care Fortnight campaign to raise awareness and celebrate the fostering community with the aim of recruiting some new foster carers towards the 8,000 new fostering families needed this year in the UK alone.
Foster Care Fortnight 2020 will take place from 11-24 May. You can find out more about this year’s campaign theme This Is Fostering here.
According to The Fostering Network website, there are a many things our fostering community can do to get involved. Some of these are:
-Share your photos and images with the hashtag #thisisfostering on social media. You can download a shareable image here but think about how you can get creative with your images.
-Use the campaign Twibbon. A Twibbon changes your social media profile pictures to reflect the campaign and raise awareness amongst your own networks.
-Talk to someone about fostering. We know our Rotherham fostering community love to talk about what they do, but why not take this fortnight to make an extra effort to talk to someone about fostering.
