#ThisIsFostering in Rotherham

Today marks the start of The Fostering Network’s Annual Campaign Foster Care Fortnight. You can read our previous blog post about this year’s campaign here.

This year’s campaign theme is #ThisIsFostering, which The Fostering Network ‘hope will convey a varied and authentic picture of fostering in the UK, the contributions of the people involved in fostering and how foster care transforms the lives of children and young people across the country.’

As part of our contribution to the campaign, we have compiled this short blog about the key things we think are great about our fostering community in Rotherham.

Fostering in Rotherham Is…

Supporting each other
We believe the support available to our fantastic foster carers is second to none. Internal support systems such as the therapeutic team, dedicated social work team and Mockingbird Hub work closely with our foster carers who in turn, support each other.

Developing our foster carers
Every foster carer has a different background and a different story to tell. They each have their own goals and aspirations and we love to support them in reaching those goals through our extensive ongoing training and development program.

All about our people
Hear it straight from some of our fantastic fostering family.
